Doctors Appointment:
All consultations are by appointment only. We will try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice although we may ask you to see another doctor if he or she is not available. Also let us know if you need more than one member of your family to be seen at the same time so we can give you a longer appointment. Telephone consultations are also available. To book an appointment ring 0151 489 2833 or 0151 511 5922 during surgery hours. If you cannot keep your appointment please give ample time for the appointment to be reallocated to another patient. We write to every patient who fails to attend an appointment to explain that failure to attend is unfair on other patients. If you have an urgent problem that will not wait for a routine appointment please speak to our receptionists. The doctor will telephone you to discuss your needs if this is the most appropriate way to deal with the urgent problem. We are not part of the emergency services.
You can help us by:
- Being on time for your appointment
- Letting us know if you need to cancel
- Calling for a home visit or urgent appointment before 10.30am
- Collecting your prescription after 11.30am
- Ringing for the results of tests after 2.30pm
If you wish to make an appointment to see the doctor or nurse after 2 days or later, you can E-Mail us to which doctor you want to see with your name, date of birth, address, date and time of appointment required. We will confirm your appointment by either telephone or E-Mail you. You can E-Mail us at :-

Consultation Appointments:
Consultations are by appointment only.
Minor Surgeries & Vasectomy Clinic Thursdays 13:30 pm to 5:00 pm. (Only with prior appointment.)
Home Visits:
Our doctors can see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.
Home visits are only for house bound elderly patients or for those too ill to attend surgery. If you feel a home visit is needed please phone between 9.00 AM to 10.30 AM. Our practice operates on a telephone triage system regarding requests to be seen the same day/a home visit or the need to discuss urgent matters with the General Practitioner.
When a patient or relative telephones the Surgery the first point of contact is the receptionist. The receptionist makes a note of the call and request in the telephone triage book, which is forwarded, to the doctor on call. That Doctor then “TRIAGES” the call. The doctor in consultation with the patient decides the appropriate course of medical action. This could be just a telephone advice, a home visit or an urgent appointment at the practice where appropriate examination and recommended treatment can be given.
